A Kid Like Me (free) 03:02
*Lyrics inspired by conversation w Felicia Alexis Reid: How do I get from being a kid like me To an adult like you? We good at the past, But it's the future-unwritten that makes us run too fast...

Leader On 04:18
You were raised a funny kid, Such a charmer is what they said, You play naive to draw them in, Loved being loved, then hated, Love being loved then hated.... Desire fears regret, Past mistakes keep creeping in, Other girls they push they pull, They lead you on till the end, You lead them on till the end... He might grow up, When he gets old, He might grow up, when he gets old, But he's already grown, As a Leader On Touched her lips in Central Park, She said she felt the love again, You play it cool, don't let her in, You lead her on till the end, You lead her on till the end... Met an angel from Korea, She made you laugh and cry and feel, You fall, You grow, You fall again... But then you gave into sin, And then SHE gave into sin... She might grow up, When she get old, She might grow up, when she get old, But she already grown, As a Leader On... Crawling for her love again, This road is littered with mistakes, How much distance left to run, Don't think just keep movin on, Don't think just keep movin on, You are a leader on, You leading on yourself now.....

You love not, what you should, You know not, who you are, You love not, what you should, You know not, who you are, In your eyes, She is home Step closer to where you should, In your eyes, She is Home, Step closer to what you love... You love not, what you should, Step closer to what you know, In your eyes, She is home, Must grow courage to fall...... by MOHSIN (c) 2009-2010

I got a message you'd passsed, Didn't know what to say, Knew not how to act We'll miss your style, We'll miss your grace, You gave it all to the great surrender What is that your Quran say... That we live and die in Allah's name... We'll miss your style, We'll miss your grace, You gave it all to the great surrender The children will miss you of this I'm sure, You were a light in their world so poor... Ohh Oulaya, Well miss your grace You gave it all to the Great Surrender You gave me a father, You gave me a dad, What a fine son that you have, Markings in the sand, They tell the life you lived, You gave it all to the great surrender. The ships at the dock, They all ready to swim, They all ready to go to the Great Surrender....

-X- (free) 04:46
You wanted someone's heart... Me, ever quick to play the part, It was me who gave you all, That was my great fall ---------------------------------------------------- CHORUS With me you nowhere you've never been, With him you somewhere you always been, ----------------------------------------------------- With him you dress your sun-day best, Blaming me for your regret, You and me a chandelier ready to crash... Hanging on, by a wiry thread -------------------------------------------------- CHORUS X2 ------------------------------------------------- By MOHSIN (c) 2010

All Places From Here (free) 04:35
A Drunk Moroccan lived a life with holes, Better to carry an empty sack than no sack at all, Searching for a place for some kind of truth, Destination,Jumping off point for thousands of hopes.... At a place called... ALL PLACES FROM HERE Father said. " Don't forget your roots..." On a plane to Mecca with millions like you... Millions of souls, all balck and blue, Millions of songs singing for some truth... At a place called... ALL PLACES FROM HERE Met a girl, climbed the mountains of Petra, Sharing stories of your lost loves and battles, Climbed a mountain, looked at nothing, But felt something, Parted ways as friends, Regret becomes your shadow... At a place called... ALL PLACES FROM HERE By MOHSIN (c) 2009-2010

Interview 2 w/ MOHSIN about Morocco Video of My Year in Morocco: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTD4mpnt-Qk Lollipops Crown is a multi-dimensional pilot youth arts/music education initiative I founded under my Fulbright Fellowship. The program aims to empower children via the arts, (specifically those children identified as street children and orphans), and encourage them to pursue creative outlets to express and record their unique experiences and learn new skills. Music and art can be the avenue of not only inspiring the youth, but art can further be a bridge of understanding between America and the Arab world. Since January 2009 I have been working with disadvantaged children, drug addicts and single mothers in Tangier and Kenitra. The work has been grueling and challenging, yet, the impact of this project has been worth the work and hardships. My workshops have combined education in film animation, music, and photography workshops. The outcome of our workshops will be a number of short-animation films produced and directed, and starring the children of the various associations. about

THIS ALBUM IS DEDICATED TO CHILDREN OF DARNA, AL WAFA, AND DAR LEKBIRA IN MOROCCO and is a production under Lollipops Crown Music and Arts Initiative....

I wrote all these songs during my year living and working with street children and drug addicts in Morocco as a Fulbright Fellow for my arts initiative, Lollipops Crown. With the help of singer/songwriter Oliver Orion, I finished these tunes and we toured them acround Tangier in early 2010. Included in this E.P are songs I wrote and recorded in Morocco, as well as interviews where I discuss the Lollipops Crown project and the work I did in Morocco. I have also included 1 recording of a music workshop done with street children from Darna Association and 2 recordings done with the addicts from the ASCMP Clinic.

These songs were written in late, dark, Moroccan nights and early, purple, Moroccan mornings during periods of desperation, inspiration, triumph, and heart ache. My year in Morocco was one of the darkest and toughest years of my life. But, at the same time, it was the most inspiring, most insightful, and creative year of my life as well. In Tangier I was surrounded by incredible painters, musicians, filmmakers.

My guitar became a major source of peace and an outlet for all I was experiencing. Many of these songs were written in the middle of the night. I remember my first night in Morocco. I was in a cold dark hotel room in a country I didn't speak the language, in a world I had never been. My guitar was there next to me giving me hope. (Thanks to Greg Eckelman for donating it to me.) All these tunes were happy accidents during a year of traveling the world and creatively coming alive thanks to the children of Morocco, my dear Moroccan friends, the selfless social workers; and the winding medinas, mountains, and coasts of Morocco.

My arts initiative, Lollipops Crown, left a major impact and it did some good. I am sharing these songs with you so that you may join me in keeping Lollipops Crown alive, and also to raise awareness about the clinics and orphanages I worked with in Morocco.

PAY WHATEVER YOU WANT FOR THESE SONGS--I TRUST YOU WILL RESPECT THE TIME AND EMOTION AND WORK THAT WENT INTO THEM AND FOR THE CAUSE THE MONEY WILL GO TO. ALL THE $$ OR SUPPORT WILL GO TO THE ORPHANAGES OF DARNA, AL WAFA, AND DAR LEKBIRA.
